Charlotte's Web by E. B. White

A girl's father is about to kill a runt, but she saves him. She gives him the name Wilbur. They meet a spider that writes words on her web, and a rat who likes to keep everything.

I thought it was great because the girl had courage.

Honk the Moose by Phil Strong

Ivar and Waino find a moose in Ivar's father's barn in Birora, MN. Ivar's father calls the policeman, who calls the mayor, who calls the city council. They all come to decide what to do with the moose.

I think it was ok. I would not recommend it to a friend.

Annie and the Old One by Miska Miles

Annie's grandma is very old. In her religion or life, when the rug from her daughter is pulled off the loom, the grandmother dies. Annie is afraid that her grandmother will die very soon, so she tries to mess up the rug on the loom.

I thought it was good because it keeps you wanting to read.

It is a book where Wilbur is Fern's pet. She has to move him to Zimmerman's farm. She meets Charlotte and her web saves him from dieing.

I thought it was excellent because I wanted to keep reading.

Cricket in Times Square by George Selden

Mario finds a little cricket. He takes on journeys through New York's Times Square. So, he goes through subways, he does a lot of stuff with Mario. One day he remembers his life in the meadow and starts to wonder if he should stay or go.

The title of the book is self-explanatory. Mario finds a cricket and takes him through Times Square.

A man, Jack, kills a whole family except a baby. The baby escapes and heads to a graveyard where they name him Nobody Owens. The boy lived in the graveyard until he decided to get in some trouble.

It was really good. No wonder if won.

26 Fairmount Avenue by Tomie De Paula

A little boy named Tommie lives in an apartment with his brother and his prents. They're building a new house to live in but it gets delayed. It keeps raining and the city is building a road. So their house keeps going up in the sky. They finally get it done and they move into 26 Fairmount Ave.

I think it was an okay book and I would recommend it to kindergarten teachers.

Dear Mr. Henshaw by Beverly Cleary

This is a book about a kid who is the #1 fan of a famous author, Boyd Henshaw. He loves to send mail to Mr. Henshaw. He asks him for some advice like how to catch a lunch thief and a few other things.

It was a great book and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

It is about a boy that has no friends. His lunch keeps getting stole. So he makes an alarm that goes off when it opens. I did not like it because I thought it was boring.

Sarah Nobel had courage. She was not scared of hardly anything. She goes through the woods and meets Indians.

I like it. I do recommend it to my friends. You can learn from this book.

"Doctor Desoto" is a book about a dentist that does operations on big and small people. Then he meets a new fox that needs a new tooth. When he gets a new tooth he thinks he can eat the mouse but instead the mice think that they can keep his mouth shut.

It was good.

"All Alone" is about a boy, Marcel, and his dad. Marcel had to tend cattle at age ten. This was because he was a shepherd. So, if you like sweet books, get this one.

This is a good book. Charlotte is a good spider that shares her feelings in her webs for Wilbur. Wilbur is a spirited pig that believes in himself. Wilbur is just a normal pig and then he meets Charlotte and becomes a lot happier.

I thought it was good.

There is a pig who gets saved by a girl. She goes to school and then he gets all scared because he thinks he is going to be Christmas dinner. Then the spider said that she would save his life. A couple of weeks later they said everyone was amazed and what she was writing in her web. They took Wilbur to the fair and they won.

It was okay. It wasn't my favorite story or book I have read.

There is this grandma who she had already had a kid and then she has a kid and then the little girl's mom died and she grows up straight bones and grows strong. It tells the cycle of them.

It was an interesting book but it wasn't my favorite. I might read something else.

"The Defenders" is about Indians that fight for their land. The white people are breaking promises and treaties. Osceolo fought through starvation and malaria.

Great book.
