Ginger Pye by Eleanor Estes
Newbery Medal
A boy named Jerry buys a puppy and Jerry loved him very much but one day when the puppy, named Ginger Pye, goes into the backyard he gets stolen. Jerry spends all year looking for him. Then one day a dog appears in the park and it was Ginger! So, Jerry finally found Ginger and they were a happy family again.
It is given this title because the book is mostly about a dog named Ginger Pye.
