Inside Out and Back Again - comments by Dasha C., 5th grade, 2012-13
Book by Thannha Lai
The girl had to move from Vietnam because of war, leaving everything she loved behind. In Louisianna she felt out of place at school because kids treated her like she was something gross. Hardly anyone was nice to her but in the end she managed.

Kids who do bad things go to this place. The grownups are very mean. They make the children dig holes so they will find something secret.
