Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O'Brien

1972 Newbery Medal

In the book of Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, a single lady mouse and her four children's house is going to be plowed down by Mr. Fitzgibbons. Then an owl tells them to go find the rats of NIMH. She meets Nicodemus, Justin, Brutus, and Arthur. Together they will help Mrs. Frisby as she needs to move in five days as well as her sick child, Timothy.

I thought it was a very good, well-written book made by Robert O'Brien because of the terrific details and action that would be amazing to my friends.

4 stars - It was a great book and I recommend it to others.

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert O'Brien

1972 Newbery Medal

Mrs. Frisby's son gets sick. She then goes to a friend for medicine. The great owl told her to go to the rats. The rats then moved her house.

I though the book was a great book and others should read it.

1968 Newbery Medal

Jamie and Claudia ran away to New York. They hid in the museum during the story. They go to Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler's house and figure it out.

I think from a scale of one to ten this book would be a 9 1/2.

4 stars - It was a great book and I recommend it to others.

Ginger Pye by Eleanor Estes

1952 Newbery Medal

Ginger Pye is about two kids who want a dog. By getting the dog, Ginger Pye, they have to work at the church and dust the seats to earn the right amount of money for their dog. This book is all about Ginger Pye and their adventures like at school and when they even lost him.

A very good story -- very emotional and paints an excellent picture in your head.

3 stars - It was a good book.

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O'Brien

1972 Newbery Medal

Mrs. Frisby has a problem. Her son is sick with pneumonia and she has to move her house or it would be crushed by the plow. She goes to the rats and they move her house but soon learn that an exterminator is coming. All the rats live except two.

I thought it was a great book with a lot of action.

4 stars - It was a great book and I recommend it to others.

1968 Newbery Medal

Claudia and Jamie have run away to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Jamie's money (that has been won by cheating in games of War against his best friend, Bruce) is all they have for food and other things. When everyone is trying to find out if Angel (a statue) was made by Michelangelo, Claudia and Jamie end up with two things, a new knowledge about the Angel, and a new friend.

Not the best book I have read but it had a good description of the art museum.

2 stars - It was a good book.
