The Bears on Hemlock Mountain by Alice Dalgllesn

Jonathan was only 8 when he crossed over Hemlock Mountain because of his mother's small pot. So he had to go over the mountain to get his aunt's big pot but he was always worrying about bears. But when he almost gets attacked by 2 hungry bears he was soon in the arms of his dad.
It is named this because everybody thinks that there are no bears, but there really is.

A lot of things happen. The DePoala family moved into their new house. First there is a hurricane in 1938 which blows down trees. Then there is Tommie's first day of school and his hilarious reaction to the movie, Snow White.
It is named this because his family keeps moving and that's the street number of one of his houses that he lived in.
