The book was about helping a friend out. Annimarie is Danish and her friend Ellen is Jewish Danish. The Nazis are arresting all of the Jewish Danish people. Annimarie's family take Ellen with them for a couple of days while Ellen's parents visit relatives to keep them safe. So this book was about helping friends.
I thought this book was terrific. It was wonderful and I would recommend it to a friend.
