Penny from Heaven / comments by Kaleigh M.
Penny's dad died when she was very little. Her family's two sides did not get along. She got her arm stuck in something in the bush and her arm stopped working. She doesn't glue up and she has faith in God that He will heal her, and He did. She loved the Badgers and so did the milkman. Her mom was dating the milkman and they got married.
God had Penny go through lots of trials but she never gave up and kept trusting God which is why it is titled "Penny from Heaven."
4 stars - it was a great book and I recommend it to others.

The Wednesday Wars / Tori S. Comments
"The Wednesday Wars" is about a boy named Holling Hoodhood who didn't live either on the north or south side of Long Island but right in the middle. His teacher disliked him for no good reason but he had to stay with her by himself every Wednesday afternoon because the North and South sides of long Island went to church. Soon Mrs. Baker, his teacher, had him reading, reciting, and reviewing Shakespeare which he thought he would dread but he loved it! They got each other out of tough situations and slowly liked being with each other. This book is about life and adventures of a 7th grader.
It was most likely given this title because every Wednesday he would be with his teacher and read Shakespeare which he thought would be a battle or war.
