There was a child named Jonathan. Ond day his mother had to cook for 20 people. She asked to go get a pot. He was at his aunt's house. He ate and rocked himself to sleep. Finally he got home with the big pot. Now she can make the soup.

I did not like it because I could not understand the religion. I kind of liked it. It talked about God. It also talked about the devil.

I did not like it. It was terrible. I would not tell a friend to read it.

Holes by Louis Sachar

Newbery Medal

Stanley gets sent to a camp because he stole baseball shoes from an orphanage. So while he was there, they had to dig holes everyday. One day, his friend Zero ran away and he had to go find him. On his trip, they had to climb up a mountain to get food and water to live.

I think it was great and Louis Sachar is a great author.
