1966 Newbery Honor
The Noonday Friends is about an 11-year old girl named Franny who has a very difficult life. She and her best friend Simone aren't speaking to each other, her father lost his job, and they don't have enough money to buy her little brother a birthday present. Will Franny survive these difficult times?
I thought the book was really good and had very interesting events.
