Newbery Honor Book
One summer 10 year old Opal and her dad move to Florida. Opal is lonely and feeling sad when she finds a stray dog. She brings him back to her house and he decides to stay. With the dog's help she finds a lot of friends and starts working at a pet store. Once she starts to know people, she feels like she is home and lives happily ever after.
I thought it was a great book about a dog.
