1984 Newbery Honor
Matt's family went away and left Matt in charge of the cabin. Matt meets an Indian named Attean, who thinks of Matt as a brother. Attean and his tribe are moving but Matt refuses to go with them. Matt's family arrives safe and sound but the new baby died.
I thought it was a great story.
3 stars = It was a good book
