Early in summer a family of farmers raise a family of pigs. There is one runt so the little girl in the story takes care of him. She names him Wilbur. The pig lives at her uncle's house so every day after school she visits. The pig learns that people eat pig and decides to make himself look good. He does not know what to do. A spider in a corner says she knows what to do. She creates words in her web to make the pig look good. They live happily ever after.
