This book is about a mouse. He isn't afraid of things other mice are afraid of. He meets a human. She gets captured. Despereaux tries to save her.

I thought it was a fantastic book. It was great from beginning to end.

Despereaux is very brave and isn't afraid of anything a mouse should be afraid of. Later he goes into the palace and talks to a human. The rats trap Princess Peach in the dungeon. In the end, Despereaux saves Princess Peach and everyone likes him.

I think it was a great book and they should make a number two of it somehow.

Despereaux lived in the castle for a very long time. Then he came out and started talking to humans. After Princess Peach got sent to the dungeon by all of the rats. Last, Despereaux was very brave and saved her life. At the end, everyone was happy.

It was a good, detailed book. I liked how the author kept making it a very interesting book from cover to cover.
