Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell

Karana, an Indian girl, is left alone on an island to go fetch her brother left on it. Soon her brother dies and she lives alone. She builds a home and weapons to help her survive. After many years a ship comes to take her where the rest of her tribe went.

I think it was very interesting with many funny parts with some sad parts, too.

4 stars - It was a great book and I recommend it to others.
