2006 Newbery Medal
It starts with the writer's great-great-great grandma being sold from her parents. When she's sold, she makes a 'show way' and tells her kids there's a road. And it keeps repeating that until slaves are free. But they still keep on making 'show way' to this day.
What made it three stars is that it was confusing at the beginning.
3 stars - It was a good book.
