Hoot -- comments by Kate A.

Hoot is about a boy named Roy who recently moved to Florida.  There Roy meets a mysterious boy who's in some trouble with the law.  Roy also meets a girl named Beatrice, and together all three kids work together to save several owls from a building company.  The bulldozers would bulldoze the owl's home otherwise.

Honk the Moose -- comments by Lake J.

In the beginning of the book two kids wanted to hunt a moose but didn't.  Later they went to the horse's pen and there was a huge moose that was so skinny.  The two kids went inside and didn't know what to do, then they got courage and said, "You moose leave right now!"  Then it honked.  When their dad got home they told him what they did.  The dad told them to get the police officer.  They did.  He wanted to kill it, but the kids stopped him.  The mayor comes and the moose was happy and a lot stronger then it left.  The next winter Honk returned.

A Wrinkle in Time
Meg is always getting pushed around.  Her father has disappeared.  How far is she willing to go to get him back?  Will she make it back alive?

It is titled this because a dimension called the fifth dimension created a tesseract, or a wrinkle in time.

Because of Winn Dixie - comments by Claire T.

A girl named Opal found this stray dog and named it Winn-Dixie after the supermarket she found him at.  She really got to know Winn-Dixie and his personalities.  Also, he was the reason her summer turned out to be a great summer.
