Newbery Honor
India Opal and her father moved to Florida. Opal's mom left her early and she has no friends. That is until she finds Winn-Dixie, Gloria Dump, and Mrs. Franny Black. Then she discovers that Winn-Dixie has a pathological fear of thunderstorms and he gets lost at a party and they look for him only to find him hiding under Gloria's bed.
It was a good book and I couldn't wait to pick it back up over the break.
