A girl named Karana was stranded on San Nicolas Island in the Pacific Ocean. The Aluets had come for sea otter. She siurvived many years eating sea food and being alone. She had pets, but no people. She fights wild dogs and goes through many rough times.

The Island of the blue dolphins is a book about a girl who is left on an island and has to find her way to live. While in this process she has to fight of wild dogs and she also losses her brother. But later( about eighteen years later) white men came and saved her.
It was a ok book because it made me want to sleep some days. Just sayin.
When all the people from the village of Ghalas-at leave, Karana and her brother Ramo are left behind. Ramo is killed by wild dogs shortly after the ship leaves the Island of the Blue Dolphins( San Nicolas Island) Karana lives on the island alon with a dog, Ramo, and two birds. Untill one day the white men come and thake her to the place in the East.
It was a pretty good book, not my favorite though.
I give it 3 stars, it wasw a good book.

Karana lives in a tribe until white men show upon a ship.Karana and others board the ship, except Ramo, Karana's brother, because he forgot his spear. Karana jumps of the ship, and swims back to shore. Ramo soon dies to a pack of wild dogs, and now Karana is stranded on an island until the white men come back again.

Karana is a island villager who loves the sea. Some hunters called Aluets hunt sea otter, but they break a deal with Karana's father. Whit men come to rescue the small little village but Karana stays behind for her little brother. Karana makes life of her resources and makes friends and enemies.

This book takes place on an Island. Karana has jumped off the boat to save her brother. That boat was supposed to rescue them off the Island. So now her brother and herself are stuck on the Island until her brother dies from wild dogs. After that she gets an interesting pet.

The rest of the island but 2 because one left his spear. They were stranded for weeks until one left to get a canoe and row to the mainland. The wild dogs came and killed him one was left. Afterthat people came and rescued her but she's not the only one she made alot of animal friends too.

When they finally come back they don't find her. Then they come back later and take hr to the mainland with her dog and birds.
I thought this was a very interesting book and I liked it a lot.

Karana, an indian girl, was gathering food for her village when a ship with red sails pulled into Coral Cove. Quickly, all the men from their tribe cheacked out what was happening and found out that the other men were Russians.The Russians were called Aleuts. Once the Aleuts left they did not give the gold they promised for hunting the otter. A fight broke out and the Aleuts won.Connor C.
Karana,an indian girl, risks her life to live with her brother,Ramo who was left behind by a ship taking karana's tribe to the U.S. Ramo is killed by wild dogs one day and Karana is left to face the elemants of the island. aftr Russian hunters come onc, an kill Karana's father, thy come again and are nice to Karana. Karana is finally rscued by American hunters and is brought to The Santa Barbra Mission. There she dies from food poisin.

Karana is a girl who is part of a tribe of her family. The Aluets come and hunt seaotter and are not trustworthy and thy have a battle with the tribe. Soon a ship come and takes them to Calafornia and Karana is left behind with her brother, Ramo. The have no way of getting of the island. So she has to wait till another ship comes. Eighteen years later a ship comes and she gets of the island.

There is a indian tribe that lives on the islan of the blule dolphins. Russians come to the island and ask if they can stay there while they hunt sea otter.The russians leave the island without paying the indian tribe back.Later the indian tribe left and stranded a girl and her younger bother.They are both put to the test to see if they can survie with out the tribe.You will have to see what happens in the book island of the blue dolphins.

Karana is twelve years old and lives on the Island of the Blue Dolphins.One day, a Russian and a group of Aleuits come to the island wishing to hunt the sea otter there. but Karana's father, the chief of the island,does not agree with his deal. The Aleuits attacked and killed many people including Karana's father. The people thought that the Aleuits would return, so they all headed on a ship toward California.
Her brother Ramo is left behind so Karana jumps in too. They are stranded. Soon, Ramo is killed by wild dogs, which one of them Karana befriends and named it Rontu. Over the next several years, Karana is forced to deal with tsunamis, earthquakes,and fending for herself befor a group of white men come back. She is told the ship that the village escaped on sank, but she is still happy to be alive.
I liked the book,so I give it 3 stars. I just don't like how much death Karana has to deal with!

She uses her creativity to survive on the island. she finds some pets along the way like Rontu. she gets rescued by a white mans ship (about eighteen years later).
the book was ok but not the best who ever likes historical fiction would like this.

Adam V. The island of the Blue Dolphins is a good book. Karana is a very nice person the Alutes come to the island of the Blue Dolphins for otter. They have a battle and the Alutes win. Karana and her brother Ramo get left on the island. Her brother dies by the wild dogs she makes a house andget a pet. The white man come back and take Karana off the island.
This book is about indians living on an island. One day Americans come to take them to America. Unfortunately two people get left behind. They were brother and sister. About a month later the brother dies. After that Karana( the sister) knows she is going to be alone for awhile. She makes a life for herself and lives on the island by herself with a dog and some birds for a couple years. Finally some people come back and take her to America. When she gets on the boat she finds out all of her people died in a ship wreck whenever they were about to dock in America.
I thought this book was really good, i give it four stars.

The bool Island of The Blue Dolphins is about a girl named Karana. The Aleutes come to Ghalas-at to come fishing for otter,but the people don't really like the aleutes. They get in a fight and kill most of the people who live in Ghalas-at. The rest of the people get on a ship that come. Karanas little brother forgot his spear this ends up leaving them stranded. Ramo dies when attacked by the wild dogs. Karana makes friends with a dog she names Rantu and some birds. Ship comes to take her to the south and she leaves.

If you like survival books you'll like this one. Its about a girl named Karana. That gets stranded on an island and has to survive for many years. Until the white man come back to rescue her.

Karana is a girl who is trying to stay alive. She needs to stay living on the Island of the Blue Dolphins. After major ups and downs she is able to stay living and go to the "white man's land" and live there.

In Island of the Blue Dolphins Russians come to hunt sea otters in Ghalas-at but when they leave they don't give in their share. When the chief conplains the two groups start fighting and most villagers are killed. The new chief leaves and sends white people to take the remaining villagers to a safer place. Ramo gets left behind when he goes back to the village to get his spear. Karana jumps of the ship and goes back. Ramo dies and Karana goes through many things.
The book was interesting and sad I give it four stars

Kevin S.- In Island of the Blue Dolphins Aleuts from the North come to hunt the sea otter. The Aleuts almost kill every single sea otter. Karana's dad the chief gets killed by the Aleuts a battle begins. The new chief Kimki goes to the East and plans to come back for the tribe. They take a boat to the place that Kimki went to and they forget Karana's brother, Ramo, so Karana comes back for him. Ramo dies from wild dogs. Karana hunts down the leader of the pack of dogs but she ended up taking him as a pet and calls him Rontu. Years pass Rontu dies she gets a new dog called Rontu-Aru. Years after She finally gets found by sailors.

It all started with a girl named Karana and Ramo her brotherwho got left behind to get on a boat to go to this island. Than Ramo got hurt by the wild dog on the island and died.Karana got mad and went to go and kill the wild dogs but the head leater got enjerd and could not kill it so she made a frient and named the dog Rontu.Also she never tryed to kill any thing again.
A girl named Karana lives on an island called "The Island of the Blue Dolphins" with her tribe. Her brothers name is Ramo and her fathers name is Chowig. When a ship comes to take the tribe away and she gets on she sees her borther on shore, so the swims back and is forced to live on the island until the ship returns.
It was a great book because in my opinion I thought it was very exiting, so I give it 4 stars.

Island of the Blue Dophins is about a girl named Karana who is left behind for her brother,Ramo, who jumped off the ship to get his spear.After Karana swam to shore and found Ramo who was sad was wondering around the village of Ghalas-at. They went to build shelter to stay for the night. Just about a few days after Ramo went to get the canoes stored so they both go the the island a few miles from Ghalas-at. Karana worried and went to find Ramo. Karana found Ramo lying on the ground while wilddogs circled around him,he was dead. Former wilddog Rontu was now Karana's dog. For many years Karana, Rontu, and the two birds lived together. After Rontu died, Rontu's son lived with Karana. When the ship came back for Karana she took Rontu-Aru, the two birds when she got rescued.
I will give it 3 stars.
A girl named Karana lived in Ghalas-at. they got attacked by the aleuts. Then a white mens ship comes and Karana jumped off the boat to get her brother who later died. She used her recourses and got pets and lived a happy life.
