It is about a 13 year old boy whose parents are divorced. He is flying over to visit his dad, but the pilot ends up having a heart attack and dies. So Brian has to fly the plane and has never done that before. He ends up crash landing, loses weight, gets beaten up by animals, insects and gets rescued by a fur trader. And that's how it ends.
