Newbery Honor
Annie has a great life in the dessert but her grandmother will die soon. The grandmother says she will die when her mother finishes weaving a new rug. So Annie does everything she can to stop her mother but one night her grandmother catches her. She says it will not help.
I think this book was given this title because her grandmother is old and Annie gets along with her.
