Before you know it Matt is having problems like indians, a bear, a lazy theif,even a swarm of bees! Can Matt survive or will he suffer?
I liked Sign Of The Beaver because the indians in the book are creative, smart, and can hunt by using nature.

I thought the book was okay because you can kind of tell what's going to happen in the book.Also some things were exciting,but sometimes not.

While Matt's dad was gone,Matt met an indian boy named Attean and learned many things from him. Attean's tribe asked if Matt if he wanted to move west and hunt with the men. Matt said no he will wait for his father. His father came with the family and was just in time for
Christmas. I liked the part when they took down the bear.

This book is about a 12 year old boy named Matt. Matt is left alone in the forest because his dad had to get his mother and sisters. While his father is gone all this weird stuff happens to Matt. He meets Indians and makes friends with them. His dad was supposed to come back in 7 weeks but instead he came close to Christmas. Matt made a house and everythimg to go in it but then the indians went on there big hunt and never will come back. So then Matt's family came and he told them everything.
I think this book is a great book and I so reccomend it to anyone.

Matt faces many adventures while guarding the cabin. First, a man named Ben came up to the cabin and stole Matt's gun. Next, he meets some indians that saved him from a bee attack. Then the indian man wants Matt to teach his grandson to read. Thats how Matt meets Attean. Eventually, the indians go away and Matt's famiy comes.

The Sign of the Beaver is about a boy who goes to build a house for his family to live in.When they are done his dad leaves him alone while his dad gets the rest of Matt's family. While Matt's dad is gone some crazy things happen. Matt fights a bear, becomes friends with indians, and his gun gets stolen. His family is really late, they were supposed to come back in August but it is already December. Matt gets a choice to live with the indians far away or stay and wait for his family who might not come back. He is so happy when his family gets back and is glad that he didn't go with the indians.
I thought that the book was great, it had a lot of action and is so descriptive it feels like you are actually in the book.

Matt's father leaves to fetch Matt's Mother, his sister and the baby. While alone Matt makes friends with the Indians, one inpaticular named was Attean. They faced many dangers together. A few days before Matt's father gets back the Indians offer to take Matt into the tribe.
I loved the excitment my favorite part was when Matt threw a rabbit at the bear and Attean shot it down with a arrow. It's called The Sign of the Beaver because the beaver tribes sign is a beaver.

Attean teaches Matt how to fish, to read indian signs and how to set traps.Then Matt goes to a celebration at the indians place because him and Attean killed a bear.Finally the indians went on a hunting trip. They asked Matt if he wanted to go but Matt said no!Next couple days Matts family came.Every body was safe but he asked were was the baby. His dad said it died.

The Sign of the Beaver is about a boy named Matt, who shortly after completing a cabin with his dad, he has to survive alone in the wilderness for a while his dad gets the rest of the family. He meets a stranger who takes his rifle so he has to scavenge for food and ends up meeting a cheif from the Beaver tribe who helps Matt with his bee sting wounds. The cheif's grandson Attean teaches Matt how to spearfish and make a snare to trap animals. Eventually after almost half a year his family returned. They had been delayed by Typhus. I thought this was an awesome book because of the storyline and plot. I rate this with four stars and I would highly recommend it to a friend.

In return, Matt must teach Attean to read white man signs. After many months pass, Attean and Saknis ask Matt to join the beaver tribe and travel west to find land. He refuses, but not long after,he asks himself: "Will I Ever See Attean Again?" and "Did I Make The Right Choice To Refuse?"
I thought "The Sign Of The Beaver" was well paced, cute, adventurous, had narrative force, and had style.

The Sign Of The Beaver is about a boy named Matt. Matt and his father found land and they built a log house. Matt had to stay at the log house because his father didn't want anybody to take over that house. Some indians found Matt and took care of him. Matt had to teach an indian how to read.One day the indians had to leave and go west cause there were going to be white man taking over the forest. Matt was very sad cause the indians were leaving and his parents were not there yet. That night Matts parents and sister got to the cabin and Matt told them about the indians.

Matt made stuff for the family like dishes and a crib a doll.
I think THE SIGN OF THE BEAVER is a great book but thats my opinion.

The Sign of the Beaver is about a boy named Matt and his father finally reached Maine but then his father left to go get the wife, and the children so he left Matt alone. After a couple of months he begin to teach an indian and his name was Attean. Attean taught him things too. Then Matt got to know Attean. Attean invited Matt to a indian feast. Then one day Matt saw is parents walking toward him and he was so pleased even his mother started to cry and soon they became a family once again. I thought the book was very good because it had alot of suspense,was funny, and mostly it had adventure. I would give this book 4 stars and i would recommend this book to others.

A boy named Matt and Matt's dad finally build a cabin in Maine-their settlement spot. But Matt's dad needs to go back and grab the rest of the family while Matt is left abadond. Along the way Matt meets an indian boy named Attean, although his dad tells him not to bather them. Matt had to teach Attean how to read and write while in return Attean hunted for him. They had fun together until Attean has to go and leave with his tribe to settle in a new area, Saknis (Attean's grandfather) offers that Matt will come with the tribe, but Matt belives that his father will return even though it's been such a long unexpected amount of time.
I think that this book was completly predictable and expected it was a bad book and I think that some adjectives in the book they said WAY TOO MANY TIMES! (ex. tramped)I wish that I could rate it 0 stars but I guess that I will have to rate it 1.

The Sign of the Beaver is about a boy named Matt that is left alone in the wilderness with his cabin because his dad went to get the rest of the family to bring them back to the cabin so they can live there. While his dad is gone Matt meets an Indian named Attean and Sakinis. Saknis is Atten's grandfather. Saknis wanted Matt to teach Attean how to read. At first they don't like each other, but over time, they started to like each other. After a few weeks Attean's Indian tribe had to go north for the winter where there is more prey. Saknis said that Matt could come with the Indians to the North but Matt refuses to go because he wanted to wait for his dad. Then his family eventually comes, and during dinner Matt told his family about Attean.
I think the book wa ok, but the only action was when they were fighting and that was the only action scene in the book.
I rate it 2 stars. (I am very picky.)

Matt suffers a little part way through winter, but his parente come back in time.

After that Matt and Attean went hunting and they came apon a bear Attean shot the bear with his bow and arrows. Matt and Attean's sister went to go save Atteans dog from the steel trap. And at the end Attean was leaving the forest on a hunting trip and Matt's family arives at the cabin and every one was happy to see each other.

Soon he gets help from an indian named Attean, who dosen't care for white men at first. But soon Matt earns his respect from Attean and the rest of the Beaver tribe.
I loved this book but I wouldn't recommend it for every one,only the ones who have a taste for adventure.

It is about a boy and how his father goes to get his wife and daughters.He leaves Matt alone in the woods.His rifle got stolen by a guy named Ben. Matt thinks he has to eat fish until his father gets back. Before he left his father told him to be nice to indian's and stay away from bees. So one day Matt goes out in the woods to look around and he saw a bee hive he thoght that bees made honey and he loved honey.So he decided to get some he climbed the tree the bees came out and stung him.He jumped out of the tree with pain he jumped in the lake and held his breath until his lungs broke.Then out of nowere he got pulled out of the water then feel asleep.He woke up and to indians treating him the grandfather told him to teach him how to read then he teaches him but he does not like so Attean teaches him how to do a tone of stuff but the indians left to go south for the Winter but right after his parents come and they lived happily ever after.
It was the best book because it was so exciting.

Sign of the Beaver is about a 12 year old boy named Matt who was left in the wilderness.One day he met an indian named Attean.He and Attean had lots of adventures together. Later the indians had to move north,and Matt's father has not come back,so they asked if he wanted to come with them. He chose not to,and a month later his father came with his family,and lived happily ever after.
This book is amazing!It has lots of details and adventure in it. No wonder it has a Newbery award!

The Sign Of The Beaver is about a 12 year old boy named Matt who lives with his father.But now he gets left in the widerness so his fater can go back to Quincy to bring Matt's mother,sister,and new born baby to Maine so they can live together as a family.When Matt is there he remembers that his father had told him that there were indians that lived in the woods too. Matt became friends with the tribe leader named Saknis,grandson named Attean,the tribe leaders wife,and Attean's younger sister.When it is near winter Saknis and Attean go over to Matt's house to ask him if Matt would like to go north with them,but Matt thinks that his family would get there soon.Near the end of winter Matt's family came,when Matt finds that the new baby isn't with them and asks his father where it is he becomes disapointed that it only lasted 5 days.But they managed to live together as a family.
I thought The Sign Of The Beaver was spectacular,adventureous,kind, caring,and loving.It's almost like you can see everything in your mind!

Sign of the Beaver is about a kid named Matt who is left alone for 7 or 6 months.Matt has to teach an indian named Attean how to read and write for the return of food. Matt has to fish and even meets a bear while his dad is going to get his mom, sister and maybe a baby.
Matt's family finally returns.
It is a great novel because the way it's adventures exciting and cool.

He finds out there are indians and becomes friends with one of them named Attean. They have many adventures together but soon Attean has to leave to go on the grate hunt with his tribe. Not long after Attean leaves Matt's family comes and it all turns out fine.
I thought it was good because it had alot of action in it.

He feels lonely and someone steals his rifle. Indians rescue him from a river and he becomes friends with them. The indians leave to go hunting and Matt's father returns.
I liked this book because it was adventureous with the indians.

This book is about a boy named Matt who's father lives him to get his mother, sister and the baby.While Matt's father is away Matt meets some Indians.Also he meets a Indian boy named Attean.Matt and Attean have fun during the story.At the end Attean gos to west and gives Matt his dog. On Christmas day Matt's father and return and found out that the baby lived only for five days and tells his family what happened while he was at the cabin.
I like this book because it was adventuress and sad. I give this book 4 stars and it was a great book and Irecmmend it to others.
