This was a super great book.
Island of the Blue Dolphins

Karana is a young woman on a island. Some Russians come to her island to hunt sea otter in return of by giving Karana's father and people gems and jewelry. Little did Karana know that this would be a bloody battle with hundreds of deaths causing her to be alone on a island with no one with her.
The book was entertaining, but I got lost at some points.

I loved it because Karana has amazing adventures on the island.

Karana lives on the Island of the Blue Dolphin. White men come to rescue the village. When on the boat, she finds that her brother Ramo left on the island so she swims back. Ramo dies in the next couple of days and Karana is stranded on the island with friends that she meets on the way. Karana is brave and has lived a tough life on the Island of the Blue Dolphin.
I love outdoor kind of books so I thought it was a really great book.

Karana was a normal Native girl until the Aluets came. They first came to hunt otter but when the left they broke their promise and killed alot of men. Then white men came to the island to save the village of Ghalas-at but Karana and her brother got stranded. She faced many hardships on the island such as fighting off the wild dogs, dealing with the death of her brother Ramo, and facing two natural disasters.
It was a ok book but there were to many slow parts.

One day the Aluets came to the Island of The Blue Dolphins to hunt otter. When they left they killed alot of the men in the tribe of Ghalas-at. A couple weekss later a ship came and took the tribe away when Karana noticed her brother wasn't on the ship so she jumped of into the sea to go get him. Days later Ramo got killed by the wild dogs so Karana vowed to kill the dogs one day. One day she shot the leader dog and he became her pet and she named him Rontu. A couple of months later white men came to the island and Karana met a new friend named Tutok. Sadly Tutok had to go back home. Then to make matters worse Rontu died so Karana set out to find his son. She succeeded and he became her pet and she named him Rontu-Aru. Again the white men came so Karana packed her stuff up and left with them from the island.
I thought it was a very enjoyable book. I thought is was filled with lots of action and adventure.

Island of the Blue Dolphins is about a girl named Karana. Her tribe is attacked by a group of Russian hunters called the Aleuts. The chief is killed and a new chief takes his place. The new chief sails to California,and another new chief takes his place. Soon after this, the second chief sends a boat and most of the tribe gets on, except for Karana and her brother, Ramo. Her brother is killed by a pack of wild dogs, and Karana is all alone. I thought it was a great book, and a little bit of a puzzle. I give it four out of four stars. Review by: Nick R.
A girl named Karana gets abandoned on the Island of the Blue Dolphins because her brother got left on the island and the ship wouldnt go back to get him. Later Ramo dies because a pack of wild dogs klled him. Finally a ship from America comes and gets Karana and takes her to America.
I think the book got its title because it was on the Island of the Blue Dolphins.

The book was about a girl who has to survive on an island. She has a dog named Rontu. She has a great adventure. It was a sad but a good book for example, of one of the sad parts was when Karana's brother died.
It was a cool book.

Karana and her brother Ramo got left on an island. Soon Ramo dies so Karana has to learn to survive on her own.Later a ship comes to rescue her in the spring but she waited to long and missed it.The next spring it comes again and she makes it to America.
I thought the book was fun and emotional at points. It was also unexpecting.I gave the book 4 stars. It was a great book and I recommend it to others.

Island of the Blue Dolphins is about a tribe called Ghalas-at, the Island of the Blue Dolphins, and Karana. When a white men ship comes to take them to the east, everyone packed there things and got on the ship. Karana saw her brother still on the island and jumps off the ship to be with him. Unfortunately, he gets killed by wild dogs, and Karana is now stranded on the island. She has no clue what will happen, or if the ship will return.
It was a very good book and very descriptive. I followed everything, and it kept me engaged the whole time.

This story is about a girl named Karana who lives on the Island of the Blue Dolphins.At the begaining of the story the alutes came to hunt otter and Karana's brother got standed on the island.In the middle of the story Karana came back to the island finding that her brother was killed by wild dogs and caught a wild dog and named it Rontu.At the end of the story Rontu died and Karana captured Rontu's son and names it Rontu-Aru and got off the island.
I like this book because it was a cool,happy and sad book.I give this book 4 stars and I recommend it to others.
