1966 Newbery Honor
Franny and her family are very poor and need money. Franny's dad has trouble with finding the right job. But his paintings have gotten a whole lot better. Simon is Franny's best friend and Lila wants to be Simon's friend but not Franny's. But in the end, they all become friends.
It was ok but it kind of jumped around.
3 stars - It was a good book.
