1961 Newbery Medal
Island of the Blue Dolphins is about a girl named Karana and the people of her village who live on an island and they need a way off the island. They left one day and she was left behind. She waited many years for the ship to come back. As she waited, she built shelter and made food to live. Will she make it off the island?
I thought that the book was awesome! It was so good I will tell everyone about it.
4 stars - It was a great book and I recommend it to others.
