1984 Newbery Honor
Matt came with his Dad to Maine to build a house on some land that he bought. When they were done, his Dad went back to get his family. And left Matt to watch the cabin till he gets back. Then Matt gets attacked by bees but is saved by Indians. Then Matt has to teach Attean the Indian boy how to read. They become friends and hunt together on back.
I thought that it was a great book.
4 stars = It was a great book and I recommend it to others.
