2006 Newbery Medal
Criss Cross is about a girl, Debbie, and her life during the summer. Her friendship and her friend's friendship changes during the book. Hanging out is something they all enjoy especially in a truck. Guitar lessons at the church for a boy is also special to him in two ways. One, he wants to learn guitar, and two, there's a really nice girl there.
It was a good book and very realistic.
