Holes by Louis Sacher

1999 Newbery Medal

It starts out with a boy named Stanley that was said to be guilty of a crime he didn't commit. So he is sent to a place called Camp Green Lake where they have to dig holes every day, 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide. He meets a kid who committed the crime Stanley was said to have done. They go on an adventure and find a lot of money and Stanley is proved innocent.

I thought it was a great book with the shoes and Zero's nickname. It was all really good.

4 stars - It was a great book and I recommend it to others.
