It's about a pig that is going to die. A girl named Fern tells her dad that he can't kill the pig. After a little while she sells the pig to her grandfather who plans on eating it. Wilbur (the pig) then finds a mysterious friend in his barn cellar. The friend is a spider named Charlotte. Charlotte saves Wilbur's life by writing on her web. Wilbur wins the 1st prize at the fair.
