Caddie Woodlawn was a tomboy. She always did boy things like plowing, milking cows, and salting sheep. 11 year old Caddie had six siblings Tom, Warren, Clara, Hetty, Minnie, and Joe. Caddie was always adventurous she loved to do things other girls not dare to do for example when a rumor was spread that the indians were going to attack them Caddie went to the indian tribe and talked to them and they were not going to attack anyway. Caddie Woodlawn stopped a war from happening! Caddie's uncle Edmund wanted to take Caddie's dog, Nero back to St. Louis and after he did he sent a letter saying Nero ran away. In the end of the story Nero was found at Caddie's house in Wisconsin from St. Louis!

i Thought it was an interesting book because of the setting and the year it was in and what was happening in the story was very entertaining.

I give this story four stars= It was a great book and i recommend it to others. Blake L.

Mr. and Mrs. Woodlawn have four children Caddie,Clara,Tom,and Warren. Caddie loves to do boy things she hates girly girl thing. She'd rather play the mud then cook.
She'd rather play with her brothers then her sister. She has friends, the indians. But one day the massaree hits everone said the indians were going to kill them but she does not believe it.

It was a ok book but it wish I could have had a little more detail.

I give the book 2 stars it was ok

Caddie Woodlawn and her two brothers Tom and Warren are very adventurous. They spend a lot of their time outside and playing around. Caddie's mother and sister don't understand why Caddie is that way though. Caddie's father is the one on the only ones who understand her. Caddie also has a dog named Nero who Uncle Edmund takes with him only to get him lost. Caddie Woodlawn is also very nice and loves everything about nature. She is also friends with indians.

I like this book because it had a lot of action, but was a bit boring at the beginning. The adventures later on made up for that though.

I rate this book a 3 star

Towards the end of the story a dog was in the barn and it was Nero!

This is a book about Caddie Woodlawn. When Caddie went hunting with her Uncle Edmund they made a bet to get a silver dollar but she fell in the water but still got the dollar. Mrs. Woodlawn tried to sell her turkies but she didn't have a market to sell them so they had to eat them. Uncle Edmund took Nero ( their dog ) to the city then he lost him there. Caddie spent her silver dollar on buying 3 boys candy, combs, and tops and got nothing for her self. At the end Caddie found Nero!
I think the book is really exciting with lots of surprises.

Summary:

Caddie Woodlawn is based on a real girl named Caddie Woodhouse. In the book, Caddie and her brothers go thorough many adventures together. She is a tomboy that's friends with the Indians and goes into trouble often. She lives out in the country with her 3 brothers and 3 sisters. You find that whether they go through thick or thin, they will always be a happy family.

What I thought about the book:

It was a good book overall, lots of action, not that predictable, the plot was ok, but in some parts it could be boring.

Star Rating:

I give the book 3 stars, it wasn't my favorite book, but I guess it was pretty good.

Caddie is a tomboy in the 1800's. She was a pinoneer who was friends with the indians, so when the pinoneer men had a plan to attack, she hopped on her horse, Betsie, and rode off to warn the indains.

I thought the book was great until the 15th chapter, that's were it should have ended.

Caddie Woodlawn is about an 11 year old girl that is a tomboy and goes through every thing that a person in the olden days would.Like loosing her dog, getting caught in a bad storm and other stuff like that. In the end she didn't move to England.

I think this book was ok but in the middle of the book it kind of got a little boring.
I give this book 2 stars
