The Noonday Friends is about Franny ad Simone who are BFF's who both live in New York apartments. They meet Lila who is a classy, rich girl who can't keep a friend. Franny's life is turning in between her mom, brothers, and dad who can't keep a job. But everything must fall into place somehow, or will it?
I liked this book alot! It was very exciteing and fun!3/4 stars

The Noonday Friends is about a little girl named Franny who's family is really poor. Franny's dad is having a hard time keeping a job. Franny's family goes through a lot of problems but things get a lot better when Franny's dad get a job and they are no longer poor. Franny also gets into a fight with her best friend Simone but they soon get over it and become friends again.
I think it is called the Noonday Friends because Franny and her friend Simone can only play at noon.
***3 stars- It was an amazing book and it was very realistic but it got kind of boring at some points.

Noonday Friends is about two girls named Franny and Simone who are from poor families. Franny worries about lots of things and Franny and Simone fight and don't talk to each other. At the end all problems are solved and Franny and Simone are friends again.
It was ok and made sense but I wouldn't read it again.

The Noonday Friends by Mary Stolz is about Franny and Simone who are great friends.Franny has 2 brothers and a cat.Franny's dad (Mr.Davis)got a job at a shoe store, and during that time Franny and Simone split up from being friends. After a little while Mr.Davis lost his job for not being a good shoe salesman.Fransico (one of Simone's brothers) soon took the place where Mr.Davis worked in the shoe store. Mr.Wheeler was intrested in the painting he made for the shoe store. In the end Franny and Simone got back together again, and Mr.Davis got a job.
I thought the book could be better, but it was pretty good.

Franny, who's family is struggling with money never has time to play with Simone.Simone starts to become friends with a rich girl named Lila.After her papa loses his job things are really tough but when he got a job as a artist everything changed.Franny now carries her lunch in a sack instead of a free lunch pass.
It was a pretty good book but more about Franny's money trouble than friends.

There's a girl named Franny and she has a friend named Simone. Franny and Simone get in a fight and Simone becomes friend's with Lila Webleton who is rich.Then Franny and Simone are making a scarpbook and Simone called Franny ugly because she was picking a scab. Then in the end Simone was sitting at the lunch table and Franny walked in and Simone called her over to eat luch with her. Then they saw Lila Webleton and they were all friends!
It was a good book but it was not the best book i've ever read.

It a good book, but at sometimes it got a little boring- 3 stars

The Noonday Friends, by Mary Stolz, is about the the Davis family.They are very poor because, Mr.Davis cannot hold a job.Pretty much everything is going wrong for them,but soon everything gets better.Mr.Davis gets a job,his daughter, Franny becomes happy because she has a best friend again,Marshall has a good birthday,and every one is happier.I thought this was a good book because it is very realistic and emotional.-Natalie N

Franny and Simone are 2 kids that are best friends but they get mad at eachother. Both of these families are quite poor. Franny's Dad loses his job as a shoe salesman. While Simone and Franny are mad at eachother Simone meets a girl named Lila. Lila is a wealthy girl but she tries to become friends with Simone and not Franny.
I think the book was called Noonday Friends because these 2 girls can only play at noon time and at school.

In the book The Noonday Friends a girl named Franny and her friend Simone are the best friends. They both are poor. Franny's dad, Mr.Davis, just keeps losing his job. Will he ever find the job he likes? Will he get a job?
I thought it is very interesting to see will their father gets a job and Marshall gets a birthday party. It's like a mystery.

The Noonday Friends is about 2 bffs named Franny and Simone who live in New York.But there's this girl her name is Lila and she's trying to get between Franny and Simone's friendship. Lila's plan worked!!!!! But Simone got sick of hanging out with Lila because she kept talking about boys. So Simone and Franny became best friends again and had nothing to do with Lila.
I liked the book because it gives great details and talks about what the title means.

Franny thought that getting a lunch pass is great, but she still gets it in a lunch bag.
She and her best friend named Simone were always together and playing,but there is a new girl named Lila and they became friends too. Franny did not want to be her friend or Simone's, but at the end they became friends. Then Franny realized that she did not need a lunch pass.
I think that this a really good book because it has a lot of great details. This book was the best book Iv'e read.
I give it 4 stars.

There is a girl named Franny who goes to a school that has poor and rich kids in it. Franny, and her best friend, Simone, began to fight. He began painting a portrait for his boss, Mr. Horney, to trade for some shoes for his children. Franny's dad, Mr.Davis, lost his job as a shoe salesman. at the end everything turns out fine.I did not like this book

This story is about a girl named Franny who lives with her brothers Jimmy and Marshall.Franny is worried about A LOT of things in the story like her parents dying,her father losing another job,her little brother not having a party on his birthday.But when she loses her best friend she thinks they'll NEVER be friends again.But everything is great in the end.
I thought the book was pretty good because it was a story about friendship and family and when I read the book it wasn't anything like the summary on the back of the book.
I would give this book 3 stars
